Daalarna Garden (located in Szentendre, Hungary) is a wedding and event venue where everyone feels at home, and that’s no surprise. After all, the main focus when designing the property was to ensure that the guests arriving were as happy, safe and relaxed here as possible. This has succeeded so well that anyone who spends time in this stunningly landscaped, upscale environment wants to return to Daalarna Garden!
So, after a lot of research, we’ve looked at some of the most classic spots (and, of course, the most exciting ones) that everyone loves at Daalarna Garden. It wasn’t an easy task, as the whole estate is a wonder to visit, a property we’d love to move into and a place we’d love to never leave… But we had to decide and finally picked our 6 favourite things at Daalarna Garden!
Magical lavender field with a sunken garden
The one-hectare lavender field of the Daalarna Garden is one of the estate’s most spectacular attractions. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the Kő-Hill, the historic vineyard hill of Szentendre. The site’s beauty is instantly captivating, enhanced by the flowering almond trees, charming walkways and pebbled paths that border the field. While the lavender field blooms from late May until early July, its magnificent purple colour is visible and can be enjoyed all summer long! It makes a perfect photo locations for weddings and other summer events as well. What makes it so special is not only the size of the plantation but also the secluded sunken garden in the middle of the lavender field. Here, a lovely fountain surrounded by benches offers a peaceful and harmonious setting that everyone loves.
Beautiful swimming pool with sunset views
Every guest is amazed by the 6 × 21-metre swimming pool at Daalarna Garden, which is situated in the perfect wedding location possible! The pool is right next to the Lavender Field and the Barn, with open and uninterrupted views of Kő-Hill’s landscape. Needless to say, the sunsets here are absolutely magical, as the pool is equipped with solar lighting, which creates a romantic atmosphere at night. However, if you want to take a dip at noon rather than at sunset or at night, you’ll also love the pool! The water in the pool uses salt water technology, so it’s 100% chlorine-free, which is rare in Hungary. By the way, saltwater technology means that it’s environmentally friendly and eco-conscious, and the water won’t make your skin feel dry and sensitive.
High-end cocktail bar in the Barn
One of the coolest things about Daalarna Garden is the exclusive cocktail bar in the Barn, which is one of the most stylish bars you have ever seen! The bar (which could easily outshine the bars of a five-star luxury hotel) is very comfortable, with butter-soft bar stools, mood lighting and the latest high-end technology, not to mention the extras built in! After all, any mixer would be proud to have a cocktail bar equipped with its own fridges, ice machine, sink and drinks chiller, plus there’s an outdoor covered cocktail terrace with direct access from the bar to the outside. It’s the place where guests usually come to relax, chill and chat, but it is also the venue for warm-up welcome parties at slow weddings.
Exclusive outdoor lounge near the pool
The outdoor lounge is located next to the pool and is, by all means, the most popular spot at Daalarna Garden during weddings and events! In addition to the swimming pool and the 400 m² covered sunbathing terrace mentioned in the previous point, there are 16 sunbeds and an 80 m² covered outdoor kitchen and bar with professional kitchen technology. It has everything you could want during a party: a BBQ grill, induction hob, drinks fridge, dishwasher, ice machine, fridge, and freezer. And of course, there’s also a dining table for 10 with chairs that are so comfortable that once you try it, you’ll never want to get up from it!
Comfortable and high-quality furniture
The first thing that you will notice when you enter Daalarna Garden is the incredibly large space, which can easily accommodate 120-150 people with maximum comfort. These rooms, however, would be nothing more than a blank space if it was not for the high-quality furniture and accessories chosen by Anita Benes, designer of the Daalarna wedding dress brand. From the lounge sofa to the fluffy soft carpet, the stunning home cinema system or the high-tech bar counter, everyone can find an exclusive piece of furniture at Daalarna Garden that they would be happy to own even in their own home!
Professional dressing rooms and bathrooms
The dressing room, the toilet and the locker room on Level -1 of the estate are particularly popular areas, which, like the other areas of the property, are of the highest quality in terms of function and aesthetics. The bathrooms are equipped with make-up tables, make-up mirrors and touch-free hygiene (all with sensor displays). While the men’s and women’s dressing rooms have showers and lockers and can be used as separate dressing rooms for performers as well. Plus, there is also a large and airy lobby on level -1, leading from the Atrium, with lounge sofas and armchairs for guests’ comfort. And if there’s an exclusive bathroom in the world, this is it!
