Looking for a beautiful, eco-friendly wedding venue for your wedding or event? There is no better venue than Daalarna Garden, where sustainability and the natural elements of the estate are key factors in its design!

Sustainable weddings and events are becoming increasingly popular, and there couldn’t be a prettier venue than Daalarna Garden in Hungary! This eco-friendly wedding venue is located in the neighbourhood of Duna-Ipoly National Park, on a five-hectare land plot on the side of Szentendre’s historic vineyard, Kő-Hill. There’s a lovely one-hectare lavender field, a forest, trees and flower meadows, an English park, a garden stream, and many small animals, both aquatic and wild, that live their daily lives on the estate. Perhaps there is no better reason to claim that Daalarna Garden is one of the best eco-friendly places in Hungary!

Why is Daalarna Garden an excellent eco-friendly location?

Daalarna Garden has everything you need to host a natural and eco-friendly event, from the solar power sources to the beautiful landscaping and wild scenery. Everyone can find that little something special here that brings you one step closer to nature and the slow-living lifestyle. The estate is very close, just a 20-minute drive from Budapest!

The icing on the cake is done without any distress or distractions, but rather in the greatest possible comfort, as the estate is designed to make guests feel relaxed, happy and safe at Daalarna Garden! Of course, we have a few extra special features that make this venue an outstanding eco-friendly location.

A huge solar farm provides the power

The most eco-friendly feature of Daalarna Garden is the solar farm on the edge of the estate. This solar park provides all the energy for events during the summer season, and thanks to this energy source, 100% of the heating, air conditioning and lighting is provided by the solar park until the end of October.

For those who are unaware, solar panels convert the energy from the sun into electricity in a completely eco-friendly, or “green”, way, which is transmitted to the consumers via a grid with no harmful pollutions. This energy can be used to generate electricity, heat, and electricity for the entire building and for the entire day.

Everything in Daalarna Garden is fully automated

Thanks to solar energy, Daalarna Garden can operate almost entirely automatically, so there is no waste of electricity, water or energy. Everything from soap dispensers to water usage and hand dryers in the toilets and changing rooms is operated using contactless technology, which is not only safe from a health perspective but also protects the environment and prevents waste.

Daalarna Garden’s surroundings are environmentally friendly

The entire five-hectare estate is designed to ensure that the insects, bugs, amphibians, birds and other small wildlife that live here are comfortable, so they are not destroyed, poisoned, fenced or anything like that. In the flower meadows and the English Garden, insects find it easy to find their own habitat and food, but there are also plenty of trees and woodland on the estate, which provides shelter and safety for birds and small wildlife. The small stream near the main entrance provides plenty of food for amphibians and small aquatic animals, and there are already plenty of frogs, fish and turtles living here!

Daalarna Garden does not use chemicals

Daalarna Garden is one of those special estates that does not use chemicals and toxins for its maintenance and continuous horticultural care. This is especially significant considering the small wildlife and small wild animals that live here. However, if a tree or bush does need to be saved, environmentally friendly solutions are used because Daalarna Garden believes in a sustainable environment and preservation!

The venue was built from recycled materials

Daalarna Garden’s buildings are 95% recycled (so almost the entire wooden structure). This, of course, includes the roof, as well as most of the paving stones, walls and tiling. Furthermore, these recycled materials are sourced from mines in the surrounding region or have been individually made by local craftsmen! So everything is in order to make Daalarna Garden one of the most eco-friendly wedding and event venues in Hungary!
